An interactive online webinar that will enable professionals to explore both the insights and develop the skills required to support young people’s desistance from street gangs.

Cost: This course if FREE to Professionals and Volunteers working with young people in Enfield and Haringey, funded by the Mayor of London’s Young Londoners Fund.
Delegates will take part in a thought provoking discussion on gang exit strategies, as well as having the opportunity to raise their own concerns related to their practice.
The training aims to enable learners to:
Understand a range of different theoretical concepts around desistance.
– Identify some of challenges faced by young people on the periphery or of those directly involved street gangs.
– Explore the role of young women, the differences and the challenges they face in exiting street gangs.
– Examine the concept of ‘phasing out’ and how to apply this when engaging young people at different levels of gang membership.
– Identify available support and resources for young people in your area.
